FAQs

Do we take on work experience students?

No – regrettably we cannot accommodate due to insurance constraints and the mobile nature of our support to host clinic teams and premises. We currently only have places for veterinary surgeon and RVN colleagues who are looking to scrub in. We advise those who are looking to start work in the veterinary profession to seek a work experience placement at their local GP clinic for a more realistic reflection of a veterinary career.

I’m a veterinary surgeon and would like to scrub in with VetSOS, how do I book in?

We welcome veterinary colleagues who would like to gain surgical experience and scrub in. Please book in with our Practice Manager who runs our diary. Our elective schedule runs typically from 4-6 weeks so Judy will be able to advise what you are likely to see on any given day.

I’m a member of the public, can I contact VetSOS directly to treat my pet?

VetSOS provides soft tissue and orthopaedic service to a large number of veterinary clinics throughout the UK and we would be very happy to see your beloved pet. The best way to ensure we see your pet is by asking your local veterinary clinic to get in touch with us. Please ask your normal vet to contact us on [email protected]

What are the Digital radiograph submission guidelines?
  • Please complete the online forms: Refer a Trauma Case, Refer a Elective Case  or Submit a Post Operative Radiograph Evaluation
  • A maximum of FIVE radiographs can be submitted that are related to the condition of concern. Please isolate and identify the area of concern before imaging if you can. Our radiographic positioning guides can be found here. Regrettably we cannot comment on non-standard positioning, poorly contrasted or suboptimally positioned projections.
